What is your money helping to achieve?
The WHEN Project supports a community in Winam, Kenya. Thanks to the hard work of
World Vision and generous donations from people like yourselves, it is a very different
place to the small poverty stricken villages, schools, and broken communities I visited
with School Aid, all of those years ago.
Huge progress has been made in the ADP (Area
of Development) since;
- The harvest of crops has increased, allowing farmers to provide more food
for their families, and the ability to earn more money. - Safe drinking water has been increased from 38.1%
to 64.5% throughout the ADP, lowering the rate of
water born diseases - The rate of partial immunisation in children has
risen to 80% - 1,773 Children in the Winam area are now attending
school and receiving the education they deserve
With the ADP developing each day, focuses have now
turned to Child development and
increasing their economy.
